Yes. If you already have a compatible alarm system, you can use your existing equipment with True-Link instead of purchasing a new system. We support a wide range of Qolsys, DSC, 2GIG, Interlogix, and Alarm.com systems. Your system must be compatible with Alarm.com and available for activation.

No. True-Link provides remote activation and support, so there is no requirement for an in-person technician. If your system is already installed and compatible with Alarm.com, we can typically activate it remotely. We can also help you determine whether your existing equipment is compatible before you sign up.

Yes. If your system is currently registered to another Alarm.com provider, that provider will need to release the system before it can be activated with True-Link. Once the system has been released, we can proceed with the activation.

Switching is usually straightforward. First, contact your current Alarm.com provider and request that your system be released from their account. Once it has been released, sign up for a True-Link plan and provide the requested information about your system. We can then activate your existing equipment with True-Link.

The location of the IMEI depends on your alarm panel. For most compatible panels, the IMEI can be found through the panel's settings or cellular/radio information. Yes. True-Link offers self-monitoring through Alarm.com. With a self-monitored plan, alarm and system notifications are sent directly to you through the Alarm.com app, rather than being handled by a professional monitoring centre. You remain responsible for deciding how to respond to an alarm or emergency.
